Iran: Rouhani’s labor minister says unemployed graduates ‘piling up’

Rouhani’s labor minister Ali Rabi’i said unemployed university graduates are literally ‘piling up’ and demanding to enter the work force.
“Despite the fact that currently the average income of an employed individual is 10 million rials (around $390), if inflation rises, creating jobs inside the country will not be worth the effort,” he said, cited by the state-run Mehr news agency on Friday, April 11th.
“The presented statistics have estimated the number of unemployed Iranians as 10 million in the future… currently, the number of unemployed people has reached 5.2 million, of which 4.1 million are university graduates,” the report continues.
