Nargis Mohammadi, spokeswoman of the Center of Human Rights Advocates and an independent journalist, remains in prison and is being deprived of medical care. Obtained reports indicate efforts made to provide medication for her by her family have been futile.
Mohammadi has been sentenced to five years in jail based on Article 610 of the Iran’s Islamic Penal Code (assembly and collusion against national security); another five years in jail based on Article 499  of the Islamic Penal Code (activities regarding propaganda against the Islamic Republic of Iran); and another 1 year. This accounts to a total of 11 years behind bars.
