Ghezel Hesar Prison – Karaj
Wednesday, 18 December marked the 45th day of the hunger strike of 6 Kurdish political prisoners in Karaj’s Ghezelhesar Prison. It is over 10 days that prison henchmen have banned any medical treatment for the hunger striking prisoners. The prisoners are suffering from various physical problems including stomach bleeding, kidney infection, severe weakness, blood pressure drop and lack of eyesight.
The 6 Kurdish prisoners have gone on hunger strike since 4 November in protest to their death sentence and their transfer to the ward of ordinary prisoner. Despite enduring inhumane tortures and pressures, the hunger striking political prisoners have announced that they will not succumb and continue their hunger strike until their demands are met and their death sentences are revoked. The names of these political prisoners are: Jamshid and Jahangir Dehghani, Hamed Ahmadi, Seddigh Mohammadi, Kamal Malayi and Seyed Hadi Hosseini.


Zahedan Prison
The Iranian regime hanged two inmates in Zahedan Central Prison. One of these inmates, a 28-year old youth, was hanged in the prison courtyard on Wednesday, December 18th.
The day before another inmate at the age of 31, who had been detained in Ward 7 of this prison, was executed by Iranian regime.


Adel Abad in Shiraz
The Iranian regime on Saturday, December 14th, sent three inmates to the gallows in Shiraz’s Adel Abad Prison.
According to reports obtained from inside Iran a young by the name of Ne’mat detained in this same prison was announced his death verdict on Tuesday, December 17th. He went into shock afterwards and has gone mute.
Other reports indicate the mullahs’ regime intends to execute 39 other inmates in this prison.
