About a dozen unidentified men with masks attacked an Islamic clothing store in Tehran’s Olympic Square located western part of the capital at about 11 pm on Sunday night, January 31st. These individuals reached the site with their motorcycles and used wooden clubs to open the store door, break all the windows and glasses and destroy all the closed circuit cameras. According to locals these individuals shouted vulgar language against the regime’s Bassij, Hezbollah, the entire Islamic republic establishment and Khamenei himself.
It is worth noting that the Islamic Republic of Iran is known for its intense crackdown against women using different methods, all under the pretext of hijab and Islamic clothing for women. This regime tortures, harasses and arbitrarily arrests women, and the Iranian people deeply abhor such measures.
30 minutes after these individuals left the site the police reached the scene and began patrolling the area with men on motorcycles. Various store owners have said this is not the first time they are informed of reports of attacks against stores across Tehran. None of the attackers have been identified and they were all able to flee the scene.
