According to Ashraq al-Awsat, published in London, on December 16, Egypt rejected Iran’s invitation for participation in Asian Parliaments’ conference.

The daily wrote: The Egyptian Parliament Speaker, by releasing a statement, announced that due to hostile remarks of the Iranian regime’s official, he would not attend that conference.

Larijani, the Iranian regime’s Parliament Speaker, had asked Egypt to attend the opening session of the conference.
