INTV, 19 Oct 2013 – The people of the southern Iranian city of Bandar Abbas continued their demonstrations on Friday despite an unofficial martial law imposed by the regime. The protesters held placards protesting the separation of the city of Parsian from their province of Hormozgan. The regime’s repressive forces responded by attacking and beating the protesters.
Women were also seen in high numbers chanting anti-government slogans, while the regime’s agents resorted to broadcasting verses of the Quran through loudspeakers to prevent others in the city from hearing the protesters’ chants.
The people of Parsian and the town of Kushkanar on Friday staged their second rally protesting the separation of their city from Hormozgan Province.
