Syrian National Coalition opposes UN special representative plan

The Syrian National Coalition has expressed its opposition to the recent plan for Syria presented by UN Special Representative on Syria Staffan de Mistura. The UN Security Council had unanimously approved this plan.
The SNC described this plan as vaguely worded without any timeframe, and more importantly there is no discussion about Assad’s fate.
The Security Council statement supports the de Mistura plan and calls for a political power transition based on the Geneva-1 statement.
The Geneva-1 is a political power transition proposed by the UN and was accepted by the Syrian opposition at the time as a plan of action. However, after two years of war in Syria the SNC has rejected this recent plan as it lacks any wording on the fate of Bashar Assad.
