Ahmadinejad’s economy minister was summoned to the Majlis (parliament) for the second time this week for questioning on how to control the plunging value of Iran’s currency, the state-run Fars news agency reported.
However, Hosseini refused to provide a specific answer to any of the Majlis members’ questions. This is while a budget commission member had previously warned of high inflation, adding the people are rushing to exchange their rials with foreign currency and gold in order to maintain their savings.
