The United Nations Security Council has held an urgent session to review the recent tensions taking place in east Ukraine.
This session was held at Russia’s request and this country has claimed the Ukrainian government is behind the tensions. However, the UK ambassador in the UN said based on satellite imagery Russia has stationed around 35 to 40 thousand equipped military forces at Ukraine’s borders.
He warned Russia on any possibly military action in east Ukraine. In various cities in this area of Ukraine some Russian agents have occupied a number of local government buildings. Kiev has said it will deal with these agents and paramilitary forces by sending military troops.
