Following increasing sanctions against Iran, Ankara once again lowered its oil imports from Iran. Turkish Deputy Prime Minister Ali Babajan declared his country has decreased another 20% of its oil imports from Iran to be able to gain Washington’s exemption from sanctions for another six months.
According to a report issued by Platts on the status of global oil markets, Turkey had previously decreased its oil imports from Iran by 20% and this new measure is taking place while prior to these sanctions Ankara imported half of its oil from Iran.
