Agence France Presse reprted: The head of the Tehran bureau of pan-Arab television station Al-Arabiya said on Tuesday that Iranian officials have demanded his departure from the country.
“In a telephone call with the foreign press bureau of the Iranian culture ministry I was informed of my definitive exit from Iran,” bureau chief Hassan al-Fahs told AFP.
“They told me the decision was taken due to the policies of the network and the work record of our Tehran bureau,” he said, adding that he had not been informed about the fate of the bureau.
An official for the television expressed “condemnation and surprise” over the Iranian measure, in remarks broadcast by the channel on Tuesday evening.

In an interview with al-Arabiya TV, that TV’s Tehran bureau chief Hassan al-Fahs said: During a few-months concentrated long attack and assault, they ultimately have taken this decision. There are several reasons for this measure. First, al-Arabiya reporter is not their obedient and the al-Arabiya reporter in Tehran hasn’t accepted their interference in the bureau’s internal affairs.

He added: Some Iranian regime’s organs wanted to impose their view on al-Arabiya bureau or they wanted to enter some people in the al-Arabiya bureau, but we didn’t accept, this is a reason for that regime’s demand from me to leave Tehran.
