RWB condemns Internet crackdown in Iran

Reporters Without Borders issued a statement on Wednesday, September 9th on Iranian supreme leader Ali Khamenei’s recent order to form a so-called “National Supreme Cyberspace Council”.
Iran is extremely controlling the Internet and any exchange of information on the Internet, the RWB statement reads. From September many large cities in Iran have faced serious disruption in their access to various software, including Telegram, it added.
This organization called on Internet companies to confront Iran’s measures with smart filters and inform their users of this regime’s controlling and surveillance measures.
