Political prisoner Reza Shahabi, a member of Tehran’s bus drivers’ trade union, was transferred to the clinic of Tehran’s notorious Evin Prison. However, since he refused to have any medical injections, he was once again returned to the ward.
Reza Shahabi has been on hunger strike from December 15th protesting tortures carried out by the regime’s agents. He also refuses to take any medication.
Amnesty International in its August report described Shahabi as a prisoner of conscience.
