A large number of women and youth of Mashhad assembled in the Mellat Park on Saturday to protest against the heinous crime of mullahs’ regime gangs of splashing acid on the face of women and girls.
As the number of protestors grew, the suppressive security forces cordoned off the park in fear of the expansion of the protests and attacked and battered the crowd. A number of women were arrested and taken to an unknown location.
The suppressive forces have taken control of the park and they prevent the gathering of the huge crowd present in the streets around the park and obstruct them from entering the park.
In the city of Rasht, hundreds of protesting women and youth started to assemble around noon on Saturday and demonstrated toward the Shadi Park. The suppressive intelligence and security forces attacked the crowd and tried to disperse them, but the people continued with their protest march. Sporadic clashes between people and the security force have been reported in front of the Science University.
