The wave of condemnations and protests throughout Iraq are ongoing against Ahmadinejad’s upcoming visit to Baghdad.
The Iraqi Youth Movement issued a statement entitled “No to Ahmadinejad’s visit to Baghdad,” calling for demonstrations.
“The Iraqi people reject Ahmadinejad’s visit to Baghdad. We call for demonstrations in all Iraqi cities,” the statement reads.
“In this regime’s harshest times and due to international isolation, its president is visiting Baghdad. The Iraqi people firmly reject this visit and consider it as an insult to Iraqi emotions, and they say no to this individual who has killed many Iraqis,” the statement continued.
