The United Nations Security Council held a closed-doors session on Wednesday, August 12th focusing on the use of chemical weapons and specifying those suspected of using such weapons. Nearly six days ago the UN Security Council held a session unanimously adopting a resolution specifying officials in charge of chemical weapons, including the poisonous chlorine gas, must be identified.
The Security Council condemned the use of poisonous substances such as chlorine and ordered an investigative committee with the UN and Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW).
