Political prisoner Mashallah Haeri, held in Ward 350 of Tehran’s notorious Evin Prison, was hospitalized after becoming seriously ill due to wrong medication. He was first taken to Tehran’s Loghman Hospital, then transferred to the Taleghani Hospital due to severe breathing and heart problems. His close relatives are not allowed to visit him.
Mashallah Haeri, 61, was arrested in December 2009 while he was in a bed hospital. His so-called crime was visiting his child in Ashraf. He was later sentenced to 15 years in prison.
