
The opposition Fatah Army in Syria declared areas east of Asi River in Sahl al-Ghab of Hama Province have been captured, Al Jazeera TV reported on Monday, August 10th.
Assad military units and Lebanese Hezbollah forces retreated in large numbers following advances made by the Fatah Army in this region. This has been described by the Syrian opposition as the largest withdrawal.
The retreat by Assad’s troops towards Fort Jurin is described as their move to the last position of his forces in defense of the Syria coastlines.
