Empty voting station in Neyshabour

A reflection of voters’ apathy shown through the lens of Iran national television cameras;
While there are about 6,400 polling stations in Tehran alone, the Iranian State run National Television has only covered 15 polling stations until 1500 local time. The same situation appears visible in other major cities as well.

And also, while there are some 63,500 polling stations around the country excluding the capital Tehran, the main state run national television which has the most personnel and assets in respect with other television channels in the country, has only reported from 11 province’s capital in the country.

Iran’s main state run national television station, which is the largest television station in the country showcases its large Newsroom and says that they are in touch with 30 provinces’ capital, but reports only from a handful of their substations.
All of the above facts shows that the voters’ apathy is so great that leaves the regime’s major propaganda tube with only a limited room for maneuvering.

Elsewhere, Rouhani’s minister of intelligence expressed concern over anti-regime activities in the country, especially since these activities have picked up pace during the weeks leading to the elections.

He made a statement while visiting the sham elections’ headquarter in Tehran. “during past occasions those anti-government and anti-revolution elements have tried to show their presence and induce doubts in the minds of people. But this time we saw no reason to worry the people by reporting these activities,” Alavi said.
