INTV, 5 Oct 2013 – Rafsanjani admitted to state-run censorship and also used stings and ironic terms against Khamenei’s policies in saying, “Blocking the path of information and communication technology, the digital industry and eliminating scientific advances under security pretexts and taking advantage and other issues are illogical and impossible.”
Referring to examples of the regime’s measures to block information for the people, even through their mobile phones and digital industry, Rafsanjani added, “Now that these types of technologies have become quite general and used as a necessary tool by the public, resistive measures belonging to the past actually show their invaluable nature and many modern technologies that are protested today and measures are taken to confront them, will have these same conditions in the future.”
