On Friday, Sadr supporters staged anti-Maliki demonstrations across Iraq for the fourth consecutive day. Al-Mada daily wrote Friday prayer leaders affiliated to the Sadr movement in Baghdad and Najaf called on Maliki to actually thank Muqtada Sadr as he was the person who made him the prime minister.
The demonstrators said if Maliki doesn’t apologize he will see the people’s wrath and hatred.
