Due to lack and prevention of medical treatment to 3 prisoners held in wards No. 6 and 7 of Zahedan Central Prison resulted the loss of their lives on Tuesday Jan 19th. Mansour Ghassam 22, of Ward No. 6 had a heart attack and was not sent to hospital outside the prison for treatment. Lack of medical facilities and expertise inside the prison resulted in the loss of his life. Two other prisoners were held in ward No. 7 of Zahedan Central Prison.
On a different situation, the prison guards brutally attacked the wards No. 6 and 7 of Zahedan Central Prison on 09:31am Monday Jan. 18th, and moved all the prisoners of these 2 wards out to the prison lot. The prisoners were held there in cold harsh weather for hours. Then the especial guards raided the prisoners’ cells, threw out and scattered the prisoners’ properties in the corridors and destructed and stole them. More than 30 especial guards’ forces were taking part in this attack, and the chief of intelligence service of the prison, Gholami Zahedan Central Prison was commanding this operation.
