Despite suppressive measures by the clerical regime and the arrest of a number of workers, the strike of thousands of workers of Haft-Tappeh Sugar Cane Factory of Khuzestan entered its 21st day. The striking workers said: Because of brutal raids by the criminal agents of State Security Force by throwing tear gas and firing at the workers in front of the governorate building in Shoosh, we have returned to the factory now and will continue our strike and sit-in here.

In fear of protesting gathering of workers in front of government buildings, the State Security Force guards arrest and transfer the workers to jail as soon as they find some workers gathering.

200 workers of Urea & Ammonia Petrochemical Company of Kermanshah (western Iranian city) gathered in front of this company and asked for their six-month unpaid salaries; they said they had elected 19 workers as their representatives to follow up their delayed salaries, but they had been fired on the pretext of fomenting riots and unrest.

According to received reports, the suppressive State Security Forces surrounded the gathering place.
