INTV, 30 Sep 2013 – Hundreds of Urumieh Industrial University students staged a rally and sit-in on Sunday, protesting the repressive atmosphere of this university.
The security forces were present in the university campus attempting to prevent any such gathering. However, the brave students were able to organize their rally in the campus.
In this gathering the students demanded a more open and political atmosphere, protesting the climate of fear imposed in the university under the mullah-fabricated pretext of ‘Islamization’. They went on to call on the university dean to step down.
The students also protested the dissolving of their scientific societies by the regime in this university.
