A group of Turkish activists protested the Syrian regime’s recent offensive on Aleppo in Istanbul on Friday.
The protesters gathered in front of the Fatih Mosque after the Friday prayer and performed a funeral prayer in absentia for those who were killed in the recent airstrikes.
Chanting slogans against Iran, Russia and the Assad regime, the group called for an end to violence and condemned those who were targeting hospitals, schools and refugee camps in the city.
Aleppo has been a center of violence in recent months. But since a U.S.-Russia brokered truce ended on Sept. 19, more than 300 people have been killed in regime and Russian airstrikes in the city.
