MNF-I spokesman said Iran backed special groups are responsible for Sunday’s rocket attacks on the Green Zone. Confirmed and specific information indicates new recruits of special groups after completing training in Iran have returned to Iraq from Iran to stir up insecurity,Al-Hura T.V. broadcasted .

The MNFI spokesman said that the nature of attacks differs but recently the violence has been increased in Iraq. The attacks on the Green Zone is not believed to be done by al-Qaeda, rather the special groups are believed to be directly involved in these attacks against the Green Zone, the Iranian regime supports the special groups by funds and training.

He added General David Petraeus had recently underlined that Iran still supports these groups. There are some Iraqi elements under US detention who have confessed to the Iranian regime’s role and its support for creating insecurity in Iraq.
