Three Afghan prisoners, who reportedly provided UN Special Rapporteur on Iran Ahmad Shaheed with the names of executed Afghan citizens in Iran, were tortured in Ghezel Hessar Prison, west of Tehran. These three Afghan prisoners are facing the threat of being executed.
According to Hrana, these Afghan prisoners by the names of Mohammad Nurzehi, Abdol-vahab Ansari and Masoum Ali Zahi were transferred to Ghezel Hessar Prison Intelligence Office last Thursday, Friday and Saturday, respectively.
Based on this report these 3 individuals were tortured to say how they were able to send the names of executed Afghan prisoners to the UN special rapporteur. They have been threatened to be executed if they do not confess.
