Syrian rebels staged missile attacks against al-Hamimim airport in Latakia Province. Military sources cited Assad regime officers saying four divisions in southern Syria have been ordered to dispatch units to Latakia coastal areas with the goal of backing their forces in that region. Based on these reports the personnel of the Damascus 1st Division are now prepared to be transferred to the Basel airport near Latakia.
Video footage of FSA rebels’ attacks against al-Hamimim airport and the scene of Assad forces bases being attacked in Assad’s hometown of Qerdahe near Latakia have been posted on the Internet.
