Repressive Iranian regime forces have interrogated arrested Dervish community members in Tehran and accused them of actions against state security and causing instability. The Dervish inmates denied such charges and refused to fill interrogation forms. It is said that the Dervish detainees have launched a hunger strike protesting inhumane behavior practiced by regime forces. The names of 450 of these arrested individuals, with women and children seen amongst the list, were posted on the Internet.
Moreover, Internet-posted reports show Iranian regime authorities have arrested more than 800 Dervish participating in the Saturday gathering, taking them to 13 different police stations across Tehran and Alborz Province north of the Iranian capital.
