Increasing pressure, harassment of Christian prisoners in Iran under Rouhani

Pressures and harassment by Iranian regime’s repressive agents against Christians church servants and other Iranian Christians jailed during the month of Ramadan are continuing in a despicable way, as more Iran crackdown news indicates.
On Monday, July 21st, a church servant by the name of Reza Rabbani in the city of Karaj, west of Tehran, was transferred to hall number 7 of Karaj Central Prison after enduring 5 weeks of imprisonment in solitary confinement of the Karaj ‘Black Section’ that is controlled by Ministry of Intelligence interrogators.
He was then transferred to branch 6 of the so-called Karaj revolution court and harassed and insulted by the head of thes branch by the name of Mohammad Yari.
“You are dirty, you are Zionist Christians, you divert the youth, the worst conditions must be imposed on you,” Mohammad Yari said to Rabbani. Then he issued a 1 billion dollar bail for him and added, “Soon your case will be taken to court and your verdict will be issued there.”
On the other hand the servant of another church by the name of Amin Khaki – arrested in the winter – remains in prison in Ahvaz and in a limbo.
Two other Iranian Christians by the names of Hossein Baroonzadeh and Rahman Bahman, arrested last year and currently held in Dezful Prison, are in limbo conditions.
