Regarding aids to the Arab states in the Middle East, US Assistant Secretary of State R. Nicholas Burns said : The United States knows that these countries are facing the Iranina regime which is after nuclear weapons capabilities and the expansion of unconventional weapons in the Middle East. The Iranian regime has caused concerns for Saudi Arabia and other Sunni Arab states that are US allies too. This regime has repeatedly threatened to wipe Israel off the map.
