A group of Tehran merchants on Monday, 19 May, gathered outside the regime’s tax office in Tehran, protesting the raise in taxes. The protesting merchants demanded an end to the extortions under the pretext of taxes, and threatened that if this trend continues, they will go on a strike. In this gathering, representatives from the textile, thread, and lighting shops were present.
