EMPs call for end to siege of Iranian camp

CAMP LIBERTY, home to Iranian exiles in Iraq, must be recognised as a refugee camp under the supervision of the UN, and a “medical and fuel siege” of the camp must be ended. These are some of the demands of a declaration of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, signed by 100 European MPs. The National Council of Resistance of Iran reports that 24 residents of the camp have died as a result of a medical blockade on Camp Liberty.
