State officials in Iran are building a new prison. This new facility is named Fashafouyeh and it is situated south of Tehran. Its construction is being completed.
Iran is known for its horrific prisons, especially the notorious Evin Prison in Tehran where in the past 36 years hundreds of thousands of prisoners have been detained, tortured and executed. Such new measures reveal that Iran has no intention to decreasing its crackdown on the public or the gross human rights violations across the country.
