In yet another heartbreaking story out of Iran’s southern shore city of Bandar-Abbas, a woman who wanted to discharge her sick baby from a hospital committed suicide when she found out she couldn’t take her baby with her because of the heavy hospital charges.
The hospital authorities told this poverty stricken mother that she had to pay the hospital bills before she could take her baby home. But since the charges were lot more than what she could accumulate and pay, decided to jumped from a height and end her life.
This distressing and painful story is not the first and unfortunately is not going to be the last devastation as long as the mullahs’ corrupt and tyrannical regime in Iran exists. The so called “moderate” Rouhani government came to power with the pledge to provide hospital insurance for all especially the needy and to lift some of the burden of everyday life away from the society, but instead the price of the most basic commodity, bread, is increasing and inflation is skyrocketing.
