Iraq crisis is in the government, no hope for reform by Maliki: Iraqi VP

Popular revolution is imminent in Iraq after Assad downfall, says Iraqi Vice President Tareq Al-Hashemi. In an interview with Qatar’s Asharq daily, Hashemi said the current crisis in Iraq is a crisis in the government and now that Maliki is following a strange strategy against the Iraqi people and targeting his opponents, there is no hope for reform or a no-confidence vote in his government.
In violation of the constitution, Maliki has taken control over the security situation in the provinces and his objection is to create restrictions and establish a military siege against Kurdistan, he added.
