Mullah Jannati, head of Iran’s Guardian Council described the phrase ‘free elections’ as the code of new sedition and unrest against the establishment, the state-run Mehr news agency reported on Friday.
“Those who have been politically defeated are speaking of free elections these days. Aren’t they ashamed of repeating phrases of the enemy?” he said.
Jannati claimed in which elections in Iran were people brought to the ballot boxes by force or when were they told to vote for a particular person.
Six months before Iran’s presidential elections the regime’s most senior officials are already quarrelling in unprecedented disputes, showing signs of huge rifts in the system.
