Yemeni Foreign Minister Riadh Yassin announced on Friday his country has suspended its diplomatic relations with Iran. In a telephone call with Al Jazeera TV he spoke of Iran’s continuous meddling in Yemen and the support Tehran is providing to the Houthis to carry out a coup d’état against the legitimate government.
“We have asked our charge d’affaires in Yemen to leave the embassy and Iran’s delegation must evacuate Sana’a immediately,” Yassin said.
