Pope Francis and United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon expressed their condolences on the incident that led to the deaths of more than 700 pilgrims in Mecca on Thursday.
Pope Francis expressed his condolences to all Muslims across the globe after entering New York.
“I want to express the Sacred Church’s sympathy with the pain and suffering people are enduring in Mecca,” he said.
UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon also expressed his sincere condolences to all countries of the world whose families are involved in this incident.
