On May 30, 1992, thousands of brave people of Mashhad staged an extensive demonstration against Khomeini regime during which they disarmed several police stations and destroyed and set fire to many of the regime’s suppressive centers.

This demonstration sparked at the slummy Kooye Tollab sector when the mayoralty agents started to demolish the deprived people’s sheds during which a small child of a resident family who had not left his shed was killed under bulldozer; the news was immediately propagated in the city and in a matter of short time the stormy flood of the people rushed into streets. In this demonstration in which the PMOI’s youth supporters had an active role in organizing and leading it, the people disarmed 4 police stations and demolished many of the suppression centers.
