British Foreign Minister William Hague said the Iranian regime is assisting Assad’s regime in Syria in its efforts to control and crackdown popular protests throughout the country.
There is a bond between the incidents taking place in Iran and Syria, Hague said in describing the relations between the mullahs and Assad. The Iranian regime is assisting Assad’s regime in Syria in its efforts to control and crackdown popular protests throughout the country. The Iranian regime might have welcomed protests in other parts of the Arab World; however, it opposes these developments in Syria and Iran.
There is increasing repression in Iran, crackdown against opposition, human rights and democracy movements in Iran, Hague added. The Iranian regime feels it is internally in a weaker position.
