Iran: Intense security measures before Students Day

Based on reports from inside Iran, regime officials in universities across the country have escalated intense security measures before the upcoming Students Day this Thursday. This includes the installation of numerous closed-circuit security cameras in and around the campus in Shahr Kord University in central Iran.
These measures are taking place at a time when Hamid Reza Tabatabaii, a member of Iran’s Majlis (parliament) in his recent remarks admitted to the fact that students in Iran hate the ruling regime, adding that students associations should support a single candidate in the upcoming presidential elections and not take to the streets in vast protests and demonstrations.
