Khamenei recently issued a staunch warning to officials of the Ministry of Sciences to prevent activities of political currents in Iran’s universities.
The supreme leader emphasized on a very important issue underscoring relevant officials and university deans must take serious measures preventing scientific centers from turning into centers of activities for political currents, the state-run Fars news agency wrote.
Khamenei described universities turning into political clubs as being lethal for the country, adding, unfortunately in a period we witnessed this detrimental phenomenon. (State-run Fars news agency – July 2, 2014)
