Al-Arabiya TV, 11 July 2011 – Gulf Cooperation Council Secretary General Abdul-Latif al-Ziani condemned remarks made by Iranian regime’s Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi saying Iran will defend and support the rights of the people of Bahrain, describing such a statement as flagrant interference in Bahrains’ internal affairs and aggression against diplomatic customs and traditions. GCC Secretary General went on to say the remarks made by Salehi and other Iranian officials indicate Iran’s continuing policy of publishing its claims and the persistence of their instigating measures which in no means assist relations between the two countries.
