At 7 pm on Sunday, July 6th, a group of youths in Shiraz clashed with repressive state agents known as the Ershad (culture and guidance) patrol. This scuffle took place when the agents intended to arrest a young girl under the mullah-fabricated charge of improper hijab.
When the agent intended to arrest and board the girl into a van, youths in the area clashed with the agents and released the girl.
The protesting youths fled the scene after the clashes. Minutes afterwards support state police units arrived at the scene to see no sign of the brave youths.
