While fighting against Assad military forces inside Aleppo to advance their position inch by inch and neighborhood by neighborhood, these rebels are also fighting against ISIS elements in the northern areas of Aleppo.

Syrian rebels near Aleppo have been able to attack ISIS and inflict major casualties. The rebels were also able to block the path of ISIS and blast their positions with tank and artillery fire.

ISIS, in collaboration with the Assad regime, is attempting to take control over areas liberated by the rebels. However, Syrian fighters were able to destroy their positions while also advancing their battles in other fronts of Aleppo.

The rebels also engaged in intense battles to prevent ISIS from advancing into liberated areas of Aleppo.

The Assad regime has allowed ISIS into Aleppo in order to lessen the pressure imposed by the rebels on its forces in southern areas of the country and especially in Latakia, Assad’s heartland.

However, the rebels have announced long before that they are able to continue their campaign in both fronts at the same time. The Assad regime and its Iran-backed militants and Hezbollah forces will never be able to gain any success in southern Syria.
