
On July14, 1789, the Bastille Prison in Paris was conquered by the French people and revolutionaries and became a symbol of victory of the French Great Revolution. Due to despotism and corruption of the imperial system, poverty and misery dominated life of the people in the cities and particularly peasants. The angry people of Paris from various sectors, along with the revolutionaries and opposition of the imperial system attacked Bastille Prison to get arms; Bastille was a bastion at the Gate of Paris St. Anthony which its construction had started in 1370 during time of Charles, the Fifth and was ended in 1382. The news of Bastille conquer excited the people of France and entered the French Revolutions in a new era.
