In Tehran, Allameh Tabatabaie University students held the “Day of Students” ceremonies by chanting anti-government slogans. Despite heavy presence by the security and Basij paramilitary forces to put down any decent on this day, students managed to break the security barriers and hold their ceremonies.
At Sharif University in the capital, students held similar protest gatherings.
Another report from Tehran cites the disruption of Rouhani’s speech at University of medical science. A group of medical students braved the security forces and got in to the auditorium where Rouhani, the mullahs’ president was giving a speech. Students chanted “independence, Freedom and Iranian Republic.
