US State Department spokesman John Kirby at a press briefing in Washington on Monday, August 24th once again emphasized on Washington’s support for the reform drive pursued by Iraqi Prime Minister Dr. Haider al-Abadi against grant and corrupt individuals.
“The long-term solution here is good governance – good governance in Iraq and good governance in Syria. Prime Minister Abadi’s making some reforms, he’s making some very significant decisions, and he’s trying to lead Iraq to a better future,” Kirby said.
