The Syrian capital and neighboring areas were the scenes of intense clashes between Free Syrian Army rebels against Assad’s military forces, Al Arabiya TV reported on Sunday, April 6th. Mortar rounds fired by the FSA hit highly secured areas of Abassin where Assad elements gathered in downtown Damascus.
The Qasiun hilltops where a division of Assad forces have stationed was also a target of FSA attacks.
